When the actor attended the Loewe show on Friday, she became the latest in a long line of stars who have taken to leaving the house without any trousers on.
The pantless trend has been spreading fast in celebrity circles, with the likes of Hailey Bieber, Emma Corrin, and Kendall Jenner all wearing briefs as others might a pair of jeans. Russell arrived in a strapless black bodysuit and heels, leaving her legs bare for maximum impact. Jonathan Anderson often works with unusual or surreal materials at Loewe and his own eponymous label, and Taylor Russell had a “tin can” coat slung over her shoulders—a high-fashion take on a coat of armor.

The actor, who is currently starring in The Effect at London’s National Theatre, has quickly made a name for herself with her experimental approach to red-carpet fashion, and is far more likely to be snapped in a surreal Schiaparelli look than a naked dress or a traditional sweeping gown. Her partnership with Anderson at Loewe—she previously opened the spring-summer 2023 show and has starred in house campaigns—is therefore something of a meeting of minds.
