Looking for beauty inspiration? Look no further than actress, singer, and businesswoman Selena Gomez. In addition to TikTok-viral beauty products from her brand Rare Beauty and her clever makeup hacks, the celebrity is now also serving up some major nail inspo.
We might be approaching the autumn season, but Selena Gomez is still dishing the best summer nails. Or at least, her longtime manicurist, Tom Bachik is. On August 24, the nail artist took to Instagram to share a picture of Selena’s yellow manicure. “Calm (Down) Yellow 💅🏼 for this ray of sunshine @selenagomez 💛,” he captioned the picture. While the light, summer-friendly color is inviting us to enjoy the last days of the season, Selena’s latest nail style is also proof that you can never go wrong with a monochrome manicure.

And although intricate nail art has been dominating the trends lately, Sel has been sporting the chicest one-color nails throughout the summer. A week ago, the star made a case for olive green, with a monochromatic look that many anticipated would become the “biggest” color trend in fall.
Previously, the star also tapped the latest color trends by embracing Barbiecore and neon nails. On August 8, Bachik posted a picture of Selena’s fresh set on Instagram: squoval-shaped nails painted in pastel pink. The cotton candy color in question came courtesy of the Korean brand Mithmillo (as did the calm yellow shade) and totally introduced a new spin on the Barbie pink mania. Back in July, Selena added a pop of neon to her monochrome manicure, picking a joy-inducing bright green.

With so many fun summer colors to choose from, Selena’s approach to single-color manicures is definitely worth copying before stepping into fall. However, come autumn, she and the celebrity-favorite Tom Bachik will probably continue to serve weekly nail inspo.
