It doesn’t for Leni Olumi Klum, who wore her mother’s timeless tube dress to prom, a fun fact she revealed on Instagram. The sleek and strapless mini, which her daughter accessorized with a minimalist tennis necklace and a bedazzled Alexander Wang purse, was likely pulled from Heidi Klum’s personal collection.
“Prom night in mamas dress,” the 18-year-old wrote. Leni Klum got her mom’s stamp of approval, with the bombshell dropping a heart-eye emoji in the comments. You can see her dream dress below.

The Dior Beauty ambassador kept her makeup light with a rosy lip and sunburnt blush, emphasizing her natural beauty. Just as her mom did when she originally wore the dress, Leni Klum wore her hair down, this time opting for loose, beachy waves.
Vintage can be anything, even your mom’s 1998 gown. Heidi Klum wore the dress to Comic Relief VIII, an HBO charity special hosted by comedians Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, and Billy Crystal. The former Victoria’s Secret Angel opted for a similar minimalist theme, pairing the dress with a lariat crystal necklace and black open-toe heels. It doesn’t get more ’90s than that.

Leni Klum and Heidi Klum were both Glamour cover stars, with the younger Klum following in her mother’s footsteps in August 2021.
