Hey, you know what, I like this outfit! Jennifer Lopez stepped out in New York City to promote any number of her approximately 5 million hustles (Delola? Sure. A Netflix movie? Why not!) on Live With Kelly and Mark in an all-cheetah ensemble that’s honestly giving me meow-meow vibes.
Her bedazzled cheetah-print leggings (tights?) are tucked straight into her cheetah-print pointy-toe heels, giving the impression of a singular garment. Her top and skirt are clearly from the same line, as they match perfectly, but are definitely two separate pieces, because the shirt is beaded and the skirt isn’t. I spent a lot of time looking at J.Lo’s zoomed-in midsection. For science. The top, which has beaded and/or sequined accents, includes maroon feathers on the sleeves, implying that this cheetah has recently devoured a big bird. Good for her!
Lopez completed the look with a Valentino cheetah-print mini purse, gold earrings and rings, and her signature oversize sunglasses. Her hair was in a perfect bouncy blowout with highlights shining in the midday sun. Missed opportunity to turn her nails into literal claws, but hey, they’re her hands.
The “Waiting For Tonight” singer recently brought the drama in a very different style at the Met Gala, attending the exclusive party in a black and pink Ralph Lauren silk and velvet gown that showed off her cleavage and her abs, accessorized with a veiled fascinator and elbow-length gloves.
The cheetah look may be having a moment, as Anne Hathaway wore something similar to the Valentino haute couture show in Paris in January. Remember, Valentino is the brand that launched the Barbie Pink takeover, so if they say cheetah is the next It color, so it shall be.
When I wrote that Annie wore “something similar,” I meant literally the exact same leggings and shoes but a dress instead of Jennifer Lopez’s skirt and top. They both look great!
