Vuori expands internationally into seven new markets
U.S. activewear brand Vuori on Wednesday said it has launched into seven new markets, marking the company’s international debut after it made its intentions for global expansion late last year.
The southern California-inspired Vuori has entered the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Australia and Canada, opening dedicated online stores in each market, “giving consumers in these countries access” the apparel brand, the company said in a press release.
“We are proud to announce Vuori’s first-ever expansion outside of the U.S.,” said Joe Kudla, founder and CEO at Vuori. “We are infinitely grateful for our team, who has helped bring this shared vision to life, and are thrilled to bring Vuori’s new perspective on performance apparel to these markets. 2022 is going to be Vuori’s biggest year yet, and we look forward to sharing much more in the weeks and months ahead.”
In addition to each new market’s respective online portal, Vuori said it has inked physical and online distribution deals with retailers in the UK, the Netherlands and Ireland.
In the UK, Vuori products will soon be carried by Selfridges
This year, the brand also said it intends to open its U.K. flagship store in the city of London.
The global retail expansion comes on the back of Vuori’s $400 million fundraising in late 2021. At the time of the capital raise, the California-based company said it would use the funds to expand internationally.
