DressX launches NFT marketplace
Fashion-tech company DressX announced on Thursday the launch of the DressX NFT Marketplace.
Now live at nft.dressx.com, the marketplace launches with the ‘Fashion for Peace’ NFT fundraising drop, where part of the proceeds will be donated to support Ukrainian charities and displaced creative communities.
DressX, a metacloset of digital-only clothes, said it has been working on the marketplace for months, adding more utilities and unique use-cases to fashion NFTs. It was initially supposed to launch with another drop, but inspired by the Russian invasion in Ukraine, it pivoted to launch a more meaningful collection.
“We are grateful to all 3D fashion designers who donated their works to support this drop, we can’t be more happy to see how the entire world unites to help those in need,” the company said in a statement.
Users can now bid to become an owner of the Fashion for Peace NFT, as seen on the streets of New York. All of the NFT owners at DressX receive an exclusive access to their digital wearable NFTs in AR on the DressX app.
Last month, DressX, founded by Daria Shapovalova and Natalia Modenova, also urged their fans and partners to donate via a new offering to support the citizens of Ukraine.
