Ralph Lauren Faces Investigation Over Alleged Forced Labor in China

**Canadian Corporate Watchdog Probes Ralph Lauren Over Alleged Use of Forced Labor in China**

Canada’s corporate watchdog, the Public Procurement Ombudsman, has launched an investigation into Ralph Lauren over allegations that the company is using forced labor in its supply chain in China.

The investigation was prompted by a complaint filed by the SumOfUs consumer advocacy group, which alleged that Ralph Lauren was sourcing cotton from the Xinjiang region of China, where Uyghur Muslims have been subjected to forced labor and other human rights abuses.

In a statement, Ralph Lauren said that it is committed to ethical sourcing and that it has a zero-tolerance policy for forced labor.
