AEo Unveils Executive Changes as Part of COO Transition

American Eagle Outfitters (AEo) has announced a leadership shakeup as part of the planned transition of COO Michael Rempell. The company has appointed two new executives: Jennifer Foyle as Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer and Robert Hanson as Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer.

Jennifer Foyle brings extensive experience in the retail industry to her new role at AEo. She previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer at L Brands, where she oversaw the company’s merchandising strategy for Victoria’s Secret, PINK, and Bath & Body Works. Prior to that, she held various leadership positions at Target, including Senior Vice President of Merchandising for Kids, Baby, and Home. As Chief Merchandising Officer at AEo, Foyle will be responsible for leading the company’s merchandising efforts and developing strategies to enhance the customer experience.

Robert Hanson joins AEo with over two decades of experience in customer-centric roles. He previously served as Chief Customer Officer at Dick’s Sporting Goods, where he led the company’s efforts to improve customer engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty. Hanson also held various leadership positions at Target, including Senior Vice President of Merchandising for Apparel and Accessories. In his role as Chief Customer Officer at AEo, Hanson will be responsible for overseeing the company’s customer experience, marketing, and loyalty programs.

The appointment of Foyle and Hanson is part of AEo’s strategic plan to continue its growth and transformation.
