Cybex appoints former Adidas vet as new sales chief
German children’s accessories brand Cybex has announced the appointment of Roland Auschel as its new chief sales officer.
In his new role, Auschel will be responsible for all omnichannel sales platforms worldwide for the maker of child car seats and technical lifestyle products for parents. He will reports directly to Cybex CEO, Johannes Schlamminger.
In his new role, Auschel will further expand the brand’s already established positioning with strategic partners, strengthen the existing specialist retail partnerships and shape the transformation of the sales organization, the Bayreuth-based company said in a press release.
“I have already been able to experience a success story intensively, and am looking forward to the great opportunity to contribute in shaping Cybex’s new chapter,” said Auschel. “I firmly believe in achieving results with a regionally adapted sales structure with a strong partner landscape.”

Founded in 2005 by Pos, Cybex was created as a result of the executive’s own experiences as a parent with young children and the frustrations he faced trying to install over complicated car seats.
Today, the Cybex brand retails stylish and functional parent and children’s lifestyle products in over 120 countries and counts approximately 1,000 employees globally.
In 2014, Cybex merged with baby goods manufacturer Goodbaby International Holdings Limited, which saw Pos appointed CEO of the Chinese firm as part of the deal.
